More about me

I use market and audience insight and intelligence to position and create strong brands and translate that into engagement and audience growth strategy and great communications.

I lived in Poland for 15 years and worked across Europe on some pretty cool projects. I've worked for both b2b and b2c brands as well as public sector organisations. Sectors I've played in include retail, technology, built environment, football, inward investment, electronics, diplomacy and international relations, and government. But a great marketer can do magic, no matter the sector.

I love people and I'm also proud to have built and led high performing teams who are like family to me.

I'm a no barriers, think big, challenge everything, break the mould, get stuff done kind of gal and I love helping like-minded brands and organisations do the same.

I love to travel, walk my two energetic dogs, practice pilates, drink wine, move to techno/trance/EDM, feel at one with nature and spend time with my special people.

The name Helen means 'light' and that's what I bring to challenges and teams

Key messaging study for the Existing Homes Alliance

Recently for the Existing Homes Alliance, and during my time at BE-ST, I led a study which has made recommendations to Scottish Government on the approach to developing key messaging needed to engage homeowners in a transition to net zero.

New brand for Elektrownia Powiśle, Warsaw

Working with the creative team at Toolbox Marketing, I led the brand development for Warsaw's equivalent of Battersea, the re-development of the iconic power station Elektrownia Powiśle into one of Europe's fashionable retail and lifestyle destinations.

Stakeholder engagement

Throughout my career I've created and managed effective stakeholder engagement strategies.  In my recent role at BE-ST I've engaged a wide network industry, government,  environmental and public sector bodies, the r&d community and users of the built environment.  I'm also well connected across the international real estate community.

Leadership at BE-ST

In my recent role at BE-ST I have recruited, supported and developed a high performing marketing team.  My three golden rules to leadership are:

  • Remove hierarchies - everyone is a leader in what they do
  • Leadership is a service to help people fly - give your team autonomy, help them break out of their comfort zone but be there to help when it's tough
  • Make coming to work fun!
